Harry Potter Marathon!

7/6/2011

As you know the Harry Potter film series is coming to an end with the impending release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part Two. To celebrate the end of the highest grossing film series of all time, Movie Parliament will be having an online Harry Potter movie marathon.

On Sunday the 10th of July Movie Parliament Prime Minister Michael Dalton will be live blogging on this very blog whilst watching the first four films and invites you to join in by watching the films as well; following the blog and commenting on it so that we can all enjoy the experience together.

The first four films were chosen especially so we can see how far the Harry Potter film series has come since then and to enjoy seeing the beginning before we see the end. Also since Order of the Phoenix, Half Blood Prince and Deathly Hallows: Part One are more fresh in the mind this is the perfect opportunity to remind yourself of how it all began and to enjoy it with others online all around the world.

To register your interest in joining in with this online, interactive event write in the Your Say section which Harry Potter film is your favourite and why, which character is your favourite and why, who gave your favourite performances of the series and what you like most about Harry Potter. Your comments will then be shared with everybody following the blog on the night. Also if you have a twitter account then follow TheDaltonator in order to get updates about the event (Such as possible schedule changes etc.) and to also follow throughout the night as messages, opinions and discussion points will also be posted on there and you can all join in by replying to these tweets, retweeting them or with your own tweets so that we can spread the word about this event.

Below is the schedule for Sunday night’s marathon: (Times in GMT+2:00)

Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone

20:00-22:30

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

22:40-01:20

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

01:30-03:50

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

04:00-06:37

With the schedule above you can join us at any point during the event and know which film we are watching and discussing.

Be sure to join us on Sunday night (Or whatever time of day it will be wherever you are) where we can experience and talk about the films together. If you do plan to join in then be sure to let all your friends know and share this link on your twitter, Facebook, Youtube, bebo, tumblr, mypsace etc. and let us know you are joining by telling us your favourite Harry Potter film, character, performance and what it is that you like about it in the Your Say section.
